Nata Tsvereli began her studies in 1994 with Prof. Nodar Gabunia at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire.One year later she won the first prize in the Georgian Republic Piano Competition in Tbilisi. Then in 1996 she was prizewinner in the Festival "Spring in Tbilisi".
She received the prestigious Shevardnadze scholarship in 1998 and in the same year she won the first prizes in the International London Piano Competition and in the International Maria Yudina Piano Competition in St. Petersburg. In the summer of 1998 she was prizewinner of the Peter the Great Festival in Groningen, The Netherlands.
In December 1998 Nata Tsvereli made her debut with the famous St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra under Jansug Kakhidze with the second piano concerto of Chopin and the third piano concerto of Rachmaninoff. She recorded both concerti on cd with the Tbilisi Symphonic Orchestra, with whom she is a frequent soloist.
In 1999 she finished her studies with honour and in 2001 her post graduate as well.Nata Tsvereli has given concerts in Georgia, The Netherlands, Turkey, Russia and England and presently lives in The Netherlands.
She has a pianoduo with the Dutch pianist Paul Komen. |
